Delhi’s Mohit Ahlawat Becomes First Player To Hit TRIPLE Century In T20’s EVER
Delhi’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohit Ahlawat has become the first man to hit a triple century in a T20 game. Ahlawat was playing for Maavi XI against Friends XI’s at Delhi’s Lalita Park. His innings of 300* came in just 72 deliveries, which included 39 sixes and 14-fours.
Ahlawat’s aggression reached another level as he closed the innings with five consecutive sixes in the last over of the game, which helped him to make a long jump from a score of 270* to 300*, becoming the first man to hit a triple century in the T20s.
As per the records, Dhanuka Pathirana holds the record of highest score in a T20 game as the former Lankan domestic player scored 277 runs off just 72 balls in Lancashire’s Saddleworth League.
Interestingly, Ahlawat was not the part of the Delhi T20 squad in the recently concluded Inter-state Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It was Unmukt Chand who kept wickets for Delhi.
Ahlawat made his first-class debut in the previous season of Ranji Trophy for Delhi against Rajasthan. However, he failed terribly in the three games as he could just score five runs, which saw him being dropped from the side, making way for Punit Bisht.
